Our Story
A family business through and through, TruColor was founded by Ray Truluck in 1980. Originally a print franchise, the Greenville print shop served a unique role in the local market, offering commercial printing options with walk-in service and a warm, mom-and-pop feel. In 2004, Truluck took the thriving business independent, adopting the name TruColor.
More than three decades later, a new generation stepped in when Truluck offered his daughter, Sallie Gold, the opportunity to take over the business when he retired. After working side-by-side for four years, Sallie took the reins in 2020, building on her father’s foundation with fresh takes on technology, promotion, and company culture. Under her leadership, TruColor continues to grow and evolve, remaining a steadfast resource in the Greenville community.
Each Day, We’re Guided By The Lessons We’ve Learned Along The Way: the importance of coming through when people need us. That honesty and teamwork are essential to success. That our work can be fast-paced, high-tech, and detail obsessed while remaining rooted in something even more vibrant and true: our community, our families, and one another.

How long have you been with TruColor?
My entire life (earning extra TV time or gas money), but officially on the payroll since 2016. Favorite thing about TruColor: How supportive we are of each other, whether that’s between our team or with our customers. It’s very rare to have a bad day here because of people’s attitudes.

A favorite past project: Creating a team that includes veterans who have been with the company for 15+ years (and one 35+!), people inherited from our many acquisitions, and new hires with no prior experience. Everyone is here to elevate our customers, themselves, and each other.
What does your perfect day off look like?
Packing three days into one! I’d love to spend an entire day being a fun mom with no other responsibilities, then another day sleeping in, reading, and watching a full season of something. A full day would also be dedicated to eating and drinking with my husband, making sure I never got full so I could have every bite I wanted—with someone else cooking and doing the dishes.

Favorite thing about TruColor: The close-knit family feel! I consider the TruColor family to be an extension of my own. I simply love working with this team and helping them grow in their craft, watching all of us become better than we ever thought we could be.
What does your perfect day off look like?
Give me a day at the lake or riding through the mountains. Maybe it’s the annual pilgrimage into North Carolina to pick out and cut our Christmas tree. As long as I’m with my family, it will be a perfect day.

Favorite thing about TruColor: Coming through for a customer who has a firm deadline, particularly when they’ve been told it was not possible by someone else.
A favorite past project: I love going to the Bon Secour Wellness Arena and seeing all of the graphics and signage we completed in partnership with the Greenville Spartanburg International Airport.
What does your perfect day off look like?
I’d like to wake up and catch up on some TV shows I’ve fallen behind on. Hopefully the Braves have an afternoon game I could throw on after that. Then, dinner and drinks with my beautiful fiancé, to make sure she follows through and actually marries me in November of 2022.

Favorite thing about TruColor:
I love the community within TruColor. The staff cares so deeply for not only their employees, but also their customers! As a local family business, relationship-building is what is important and they exceed on that aspect every day.
A favorite past project: I love helping with wedding stationery and invitation suites! I love all the ideas, colors, and personalization that comes along with it. Also, helping a bride get her vision on paper for such an important, monumental day is priceless.
What does your perfect day off look like?
My perfect day off would be somewhere in the sun! Either on a road trip, at a concert, or on the boat with a good book in my hand.
